Revelstoke Independent Power Project River Channel Restoration
Improve river channel downstream from independent hydro-electric power project.
- Use spider excavator to load boulders into dump truck for transport to site
- Place boulders and large logs in channel to create natural water features
Subsequent Summer Follow-up
Photos taken with water level approximately 20cm below high level mark
- Instream boulders have not shifted
- Riffles are still in position
- Two of the cross logs should have had an additional anchor cable onto a T-post as they have been pulled by the current to a different angle across the channel
